Margaret E. Wiens

1921 – 1966

A member of the Yarrow Alliance Church, Mrs. Margaret Eleanor Wiens of 4185 Boundary Road died Friday May 13th 1966 in Chilliwack General Hospital

Mrs. Wiens was born in Russia on June 24, 1921 and came to Canada 39 years ago. She had resided in the Chilliwack Valley for 29 years.

Surviving Mrs. Wiens are her husband Peter, three daughters Viola (Ray) Downey, Wheaton, Ill., Mrs. Martha (Fred) Peters, Birmingham, England, Miss Rosalie Wiens at home; three sons: Gerald, Richard and Donald, all at home; her parents Mr. & Mrs. George Toews; six sisters: Mrs. A. (Lena) Scheer and Miss Betty Toews both of Yarrow; Mrs. J. (Irma) Krahn, Vancouver; Mrs. H. (Marion) Krone, Toronto; Miss Elsie Toews and Miss Vera Toews, Vancouver and brother, George Toews, Yarrow.

Rev. David Friesen and Re. B.G. Wannop officiated at the funeral service at the Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church on May 17th1966.

Pallbearers were Corney Wolfe, George Reimer, Dave Loewen, Pete Koehn, Isaac Braun and Abe Bergmann.

Interment was at Yarrow Cemetery.
