Mrs. Justina Wiens of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away on October 27, 1980. She was born on October 30, 1887 in Ladekop, Russia to Peter & Justina Wiens, On October 13, 1907, she married Abraham Wiens in Omsk, Siberia.
Both Justina and Abraham experienced the Lord personally and were baptized into the Mennonite Brethren Church in Omsk. In 1926 the family immigrated to Canada and eventually settling in Gem Alberta.
In 1939 they moved to Yarrow, B.C. Her husband died in December 1943. In 1950, she moved to Vancouver to live with her daughter Margaret and joined the Vancouver Mennonite Brethren Church on 43rd Ave.
In 1974, she entered the Tabor Home in Clearbrook. There she spent much time in prayer for her large family. She was predeceased by one son in infancy, her husband Abraham and by her daughter Justina Penner of North Vancouver. She is survived by two sons, four daughters and spouses; 40 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her funeral was held October 29th 1980 in the Bakerview (Clearbrook) Mennonite Brethren Church with Victor Toews of Vancouver officiating. J. Dyck of Tabor Home and David Wiens of Vancouver preached.
