Jacob Ernest Wiens

1911 – 1982

Jacob Ernest Wiens was born January 30th 1911 in Isl-Kule, Siberia on January 20, 1911. He passed away on Jun 7 1982 as a result of a farm accident at Yarrow B.C.

In 1929, he accepted Christ as his Saviour and in 1930 he was baptized joining the Coaldale, Alberta Mennonite Brethren Church. He attended the Coaldale Bible School from 1920 to 1933 and in 1940, he moved to Yarrow, B.C. with his parents.

He married Rita Peters of Winnipeg on March 21, 1953.

He was a family man and spiritual leader.

He is survived by his wife, Rita, Children Harry, Marlene & Edward Becker, John & Deb Wiens, Edward and one grandson.

The funeral for Jacob Wiens was June 11, 1982 in the Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church with pastor Abe Klassen ministering.
