Mrs. Sara (Henry) Spenst of Wilson Rd., Yarrow, B.C., died as a result of a traffic accident in Yarrow on January 17, 1963.
Sara Jantzen was born January 10, 1909 in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, Russia to Johann J. and Helena (Klippenstein) Jantzen and. She was baptized August 19, 1928 at Grünthal, West Reserve, Manitoba. Sara married Henry Spenst November 12, 1931 at Grünthal, West Reserve, MB.
Henry and Sara lived in Coaldale, AB (1936), then Yarrow, BC 1937); to Oliver, BC (1938), to Greendale, BC (1942), then back to Yarrow, BC (1950). She was a member of the Yarrow M.B. Church. Sara had lived in Yarrow for 28 years.
Sara is mourned by her husband Henry, 4668 Wilson Road, Yarrow, four sons: Henry, Whitehorse, Y.T.; Nick, Vancouver B.C.; John, Greenwood, B.C.; Frank, Dawson Creek, B.C.; and two daughters: Helen (Murrey) Bleich; Prince George, B.C. Susie Spenst, Winnipeg, MB.; two brothers: Jake Jantzen and John Jantzen, Vancouver, B.C.; three sisters: Mrs. J. (Agatha) Dyck; Mrs. W. (Betty) Martens, Vancouver, B.C.; Mrs. H (Anny) Schartner, Russia.
Funeral services were held on Jan. 22, 1963 with Rev. H. Brucks in charge. Pallbearers were Henry, Joh, Nick and Frank Spenst, Murrey Bleich and Ed Jantzen. Internment was at Yarrow Cemetery.
