On October 31, 1991, Olga Helene Rempel (nee Hepting) went to be home with her Lord whom she loved and served faithfully.
She was born October 1, 1907 in Millerovo, Don River, Russia. She was the eldest daughter of Heinrich & Anna (Lechner) Hepting. They immigrated to Canada in 1930 and moved to Yarrow, BC; with her parents and siblings.
Olga was married to Aron Rempel on November 13, 1932 at Yarrow MB Church. Eight daughters were born to them: Ruth, Edith, Hildegard, Charlotte, Joan, Anne, Olga (Ollie), and Marlene and one son: Walter. They lived in Yarrow for 50 years and moved to Richmond in 1980.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Aron in 1981. Olga passed away in Richmond.
She is survived by her eight loving daughters and one son: Ruth (Frank) Klassen; Edith (Robert) Simpson; Hildegarde (George) Krahn; Charlotte (Art) Shier; Joan (Victor) Pauls; Anne (Jake) Dyck; Ollie (Robert) Peters; Marlene (Ed) Penner; Walter (Connie) Rempel; 29 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived thy two sisters: Pauline Blessin, Chilliwack and Annie Enns, Kelowna; her brother John Hepting, Oregon and by many relatives and friends.
Funeral service was November 2, 1991 in the South Delta Baptist Church with Pastors Jerry Rueb and Herb Brandt officiating. Internment was at Yarrow Cemetery.
