PETERS, Elizabeth Dyck

Elizabeth Dyck Peters passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on the evening of November 14th, 2008 at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital.

She was born to Jacob and Eva Dyck in Cabri Saskatchewan, January 17, 1928, and moved to Yarrow, BC in March of 1937.

She committed her life to Christ in her early teen years and was baptized in the Yarrow MB Church in 1947. Her love for Jesus and deep concern for others was reflected in service to her church and generosity to many ministries.

Elizabeth married Abe Peters in 1955, and side by side shared their dairy farm in Abbotsford until he passed away in 1999.

They were blessed with two children, Lorence and Linda. Her last years were spent in her own home in Abbotsford where she was able to enjoy many of the activities dear to her, reading, gardening, and traveling.

Left to treasure many wonderful memories are son Lorence, daughter Linda, brother Frank (Ursula), sisters in-law Agatha and Lydia, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the medical staff of the Abbotsford Regional Hospital, particularly the doctors and nurses of the Cheam Palliative wing. The care she received was truly exceptional, and will not be forgotten. Mom, we will forever cherish and hold close within our hearts all you gave us in your gentle kind nature, selflessness, friendship, and love for all you encountered on your life's journey.

A viewing will take place at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Wednesday the 19th from 7:30 to 9:00 pm, and a funeral on November 20, 2008 at 11:00 am, at the Yarrow MB Church.
