Marie Penner

1892 – 1978

Mrs. Marie Penner of Marshall Road, Abbotsford died October 30, 1978. She was born in Russia in 1892 and emigrated to Canada in 1923. The family lived in Elm Creek Manitoba prior to moving to Yarrow in 1946 and Abbotsford in 1967.

Mrs. Penner was predeceased by her son Jake Penner in 1969 and her husband Isaac Penner in 1976. Surviving are two daughters Ann (Mrs. John H.) Sawatsky of Oak Lake Manitoba and Mary (Mrs. Harry) Nuytten of St. Boniface, Manitoba and one son Cornelius Penner of Sardis; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the chapel of the Menno Home, Marshall Road, Abbotsford with Rev. Peter Unger officiating.

Interment was in Yarrow Cemetery.
