
Rev. Isaac C. Penner
Retired minister and farmer, Re. Isaac Cornelius Penner died November 12, 1972 in the Menno Home in Abbotsford. Rev. H. Claassen, Rev. H.G. Thielmann and Rev. P.W. Dyck officiated at the funeral service at the United Mennonite Church, Yarrow B.C.
Mr. Penner was born on December 5, 1890 in Russia. A former resident of Yarrow, he had lived in Abbotsford for one year. He was a member of the Unite Mennonite Church in Yarrow and been a minister at the Church.

Mr. Penner is survived by his wife Maria; two daughters: Annie (Mrs. John) Sawatsky, Oak Lake, Manitoba; Mary (Mrs. Harry) Nytten, St. Boniface, Manitoba; one son Cornelius Penner, Chilliwack; 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Pete Dyck, Clearbrook and Mrs. Jacob Dyck, Chilliwack; four brothers: George Penner, Henry Penner, and Bernard Penner all of Yarrow and Cornelius Penner of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by one son Jake Penner in 1969.
Pallbearers were Isaac Casper, John Dyck, David Regier, Henry Isaac, C.P. Kehler and Henry Friesen. Henderson’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Interment was at Yarrow Cemetery.
