Herb Neufeldt
1932 – 1977
Herb Neufeldt was born on October 12, 1932 at Yarrow B.C. to Mr. & Mrs. Jacob & Mary Neufeldt. He worked on lumber and road crews most of his life and was
an expert operator of heavy equipment. Herb loved people and made friends wherever he went. He spent much time talking with others, listening mostly, and
they always went away feeling they had been helped. If anyone ever had a need, Herb would be there in a quiet way to assist. Herb's integrity was a reflection
of the Lord he loved. If he learned that his employer was taking advantage of customers, he would quit. The Lord always blessed this.
Of special delight to Herb were his wife Grace and children.
He was operated on for cancer in November 1976 and from that time he was confined to home and hospital.
He realized that the Lord was giving him opportunities which would not have come otherwise to share Christ with people. Toward the end of
his life he said that if any of his friends and family would come to the Lord through his sickness, the suffering he endured would be worth it.
In the week before he died, he spoke personally to each of his children and to each of his brothers and sisters, expressing the hope and prayer that
all the family would one day join him in heaven. His friends and family are grateful to have been allowed to watch Christ express himself through
the willing personality of one of his children. Herb went home on July 27, 1977.
Herb leaves to mourn his loving wife, Grace, his children, Glenda and Doug Reimer, Reg, Doug, and Jewel and granddaughter Andrea; seven brothers: Peter, Jack, Henry, Homer, Elmer, Roland and Ray; six sisters (Mrs.) Sarah Hansen, (Mrs.) Hilda Rempel, (Mrs.) Selma Giesbrecht, (Mrs.) Elizabeth Murray, Dora Neufeldt and (Mrs.) Jean Goosen; his father and step-mother, Mr. & Mrs. Jacob & Anna Neufeldt and many friends.
