MARTENS, Anna
Anna Thiessen Martens, wife of Petrus Martens, Yarrow passed away at her Eckert road home on March 15, 1948. Funeral services were conducted from the Yarrow
Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. Johannes Harder officiating. Internment followed at Yarrow cemetery.
Mrs. Martens was born January 14, 1897 in South Russia. She was baptized in Memrick Colony, South Russia. She married Petrus Martens in 1919 and they
immigrated to Canada in 1926 and resided in Manitoba for two years before moving to Yarrow BC.
Surviving are her husband Petrus Martens; four sons: Jake & Herbert, Yarrow; Walter and Johnny at home; four daughters: Mrs. Corny Langeman and Mrs. E. Neuman
at Yarrow; Katy and Magda at home. There are also several grandchildren.
