Jacob Peter Kopp
Jacob Peter Kopp of Clearbrook, B.C. passed away Apr. 27, 1989.
He was born June 10, 1911 in Alexanderwohl, Russia, second of 5 sons of Peter and Anna Kopp, a blended family which also included five stepchildren.
In 1926 the family immigrated to Coaldale, Alta. On Aug. 4, 1929 he was baptized by B.B. Janz and joined Coaldale MB Church.
He married Annie Brucks Nov. 5, 1932. In 1944 they moved to Yarrow, B.C., where they farmed.

In 1955 they moved to Vancouver, where they joined Vancouver MB Church and later became charter members of Willingdon Church.
In 1980 they retired to Clearbrook, joining Bakerview MB Church. He is remembered for his radiant energy; his good nature which held that dreaming and positive thinking were more important than accomplishing dreams; his love of nature; his boisterous wrestling with his children; his ardent leading of family devotions; and his love of music. A favourite song, ''I'll fly away in the morning", came true.
He is mourned by his wife; daughters Agnes Doerksen, Elvira Thiessen, Elfrieda Braun and Linda Neufeld; sons Edward Herb, Victor, Rudy and Roily; 27 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one brother.
