ISAAK, John Henry

John Henry Isaak of Yarrow passed away on July 1, 1987 on Mount Cheam near Chilliwack BC at the age of 63.

He was born July 24, 1923 in Samara, Southern Russia to Henry & Anna Isaak.

When he was 2, the Isaak family immigrated to Saskatchewan and in 1928, they moved to Yarrow B.C. Here he attended Yarrow Elementary School and later, Elim Bible School. In 1943 he accepted Christ and was baptized August 20 1944 and became a member of Yarrow MB Church.

On August 21, 1954, he was married to Lydia Martens, a union blessed with five children. He was an upright example in his workplace. The family remembers a willing servant, committed to the work of the church.

John was a truck driver for 35 years.

He died accidentally while mountain climbing.

He is mourned by his mother Anna Isaak, his wife Lydia; three sons: Gordon (Dora) missionaries in India, Wes and Philip of Yarrow, two daughters: Grace (Henry) Falk of Abbotsford and Nancy of Yarrow.

Funeral service was held July 6, 1987 at Yarrow MB Church with Pastor A.L. Klassen and Abe Esau ministering. Pallbearers were Gordon, Wes, Philip, and Henry Isaak, Henry Falk and Walter Martens. Internment was at Yarrow Cemetery.
