Helena Hooge

1865 – 1956

Rev. J.J. Klassen held the funeral service at the Yarrow United Brethren Church for Mrs. Helena Hooge who died January 6, 1956 at the Yarrow home of her daughter Mrs. Peter Pauls.

Mrs. Hooge, nee Kroeker was born on May 2, 1865 in South Russia. She had lived in the Yarrow district for 28 years.

She is survived by her daughter Mrs. Pauls 1027 Eckert Road Yarrow, two sons Heinrich Hooge and George Hooge both of Abbotsford; 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were her sons Henry (Heinrich) and George, and grandsons: Jake, George and Ernie Hooge at the funeral.

Interment was at Yarrow Cemetery.
