Henry Christopher Hepting died January 17, 1952 at his residence, 1054 Dyke Road, Yarrow. He was in his 71st year. A retired farmer, Mr. Hepting had been a resident of Yarrow for the past 21 years.
Some family records say his given names are Andreas Heinrich and that he was a Lutheran convert received into the MB church. His obituary says he was born at Ostrogorsk,
Russia on August 26, 1881. He married Anna Lechner on November 6, 1906 at Millerovo, Don River, Russia and he and Anna were baptized May 19, 1921 at Millerovo, Don River, Russia.
He is survived by his wife, Anna and four daughters: Olga (Aron) Rempel and Anne (Henry) Enns, Yarrow; Pauline (Mrs. H.) Blessin, Sardis; and Elizabeth (Mrs. K.) Klassen,
Vancouver; and two sons, John, Yarrow; and Henry, Vancouver and 26 grandchildren.
Rev. H. Lenzmann conducted the funeral service at the Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church. Interment was in Yarrow Cemetery.
