Anna Hepting who died October 3, 1973 in Menno Private Hospital, Abbotsford. Henderson's Funeral Home, was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Bob Hepting,
Harold Klassen, Walter Rempel, David Enns, Arthur Enns and John Blessin. Interment was in Yarrow Cemetery.
Anna Lechner Hepting was born June 26, 1880 in Ribbensdorf, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany. She married Wilhelm Boger on Feb 15, 1899.
They had 3 sons, 2 died in childhood and Wilhelm died about 1905. Anna's parents were murdered in Russia in 1917.
She was married to Heinrich Christopher Hepting on November 6, 1906 at Millerovo, Don River, Russia. They had 6 daughters and two sons, two daughters died in childhood.
Anna was baptized May 19, 1921 in Millerovo, Don River, Russia. Anna & Heinrich immigrated to Canada, arriving in St. John, New Brunswick on April 1930 with their six children:
Olga, Elisabeth, Andreas, Paulina, John and Anna. After immigration, they settled in Yarrow, BC.
Mrs. Hepting, formerly of Dyke Road, Yarrow had been active in Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church work. Mrs. Hepting was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1953 and by her son Henry Jr. in 1963.
She is survived by four daughters: Olga (Aron) Rempel, Yarrow; Elizabeth Klassen, Abbotsford; Pauline Blessin, Chilliwack; and Anne (Henry) Enns, Kelowna; two sons: John of Phoenix,
Arizona and William in Russia; 33 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.
