Annie Goossen

September 1888 - May 1968

A resident in the district for 40 years, Mrs. Annie Goossen, late of 4372 Cypress Street, Yarrow, died May 27, 1968 in Menno Private Hospital, Abbotsford, B.C.

Mrs. Goossen was born September 17, 1888 in Russia.

Mrs. Goossen is survived by one son, Henry, Chilliwack; daughters: Mrs. Elizabeth Menges, Yarrow; Miss Annie Gossen Vancouver; Miss Mary Gossen, Yarrow; Mrs. Margarete (Victor) Friesen, Vancouver; Mrs. Agnes (Henry) Enns, North Surrey; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John Goossen in 1950.

Rev. H.G. Thielman assisted by Rev. Aron Rempel officiated at the funeral which took place May 31, 1968 at the Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church.

Pallbearers were Frank Thiessen, Bob Menges, Johny Gossen, Aron Janzen, Jake Voth and Henry Dyck.

Burial was at the Yarrow Cemetery.
