GOETZ, Johanna

Johanna Goetz February 7, 1906 – July 13, 1972

Johanna Goetz

Johanna Goetz was born on February 7, 1906 in Nieder Chortza, Ukraine on February 7th 1906, she was married to Henry Goetz and had lived in the Yarrow area for 23 years. She died in Chilliwack General Hospital on Monday July 13th, 1972. They lived at 42197 Central Road, Yarrow, B.C.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Goetz Sr., three daughters: Anna (Mrs. John) Kuester, Chilliwack; Katie (Mrs. Paul) Meier and Erna (Mrs. Herman) Schpansky, both of Vancouver; one son Henry Jr. of Vancouver and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Rev. Henry Claassen, assisted by Rev. P.W. Dyck officiated at the funeral service for Mrs. Johanna Goertz in the Yarrow First Mennonite Church.

Pallbearers were Herman Schapansky, Helmut Kuester, Paul Meier, Henry Kuester, Richard Meier and Ronald Kuester.

Interment was at the Yarrow Cemetery.



Henry Goetz

June 12, 1901 - July 18, 1972

Henry Goetz was predeceased by his wife Johanna on July 13th 1972… he passed away on July 18, 1972 in the Chilliwack General Hospital.

Re. Henry Claassen assisted by Rev. P.W. Dyck officiated at his funeral at the Yarrow First Mennonite Church.

Mr. Goetz was born on June 12, 1901 in Nieder Chortza, Ukraine. He was a farmer and had resided in tie area for 23 years.

He is survived by three daughters: Anna (Mrs. John) Kuester, Chilliwack; Katie (Mrs. Paul) Meier and Erna (Mrs. Herman) Schpansky, both of Vancouver; one son Henry Jr. of Vancouver and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and his brothers and sisters in Russia.

Pallbearers were Herman Schpansky, Helmut Kuester, Paul Meier, Henry Kuester, Richard Meier and Ronald Kuester.

Interment was at the Yarrow Cemetery.
