Elizabeth Goertz

1896 – 1963

Funeral service was held on July 1st 1963 for Miss Elizabeth Goertz who died June 28th 1963 in Chilliwack General Hospital.

She was born in Russia in 1896 and had lived in the district for 35 years. She was living at 4209 Stewart Road in Yarrow.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Peter Nickel, Clearbrook and Mrs. Jacob Neufeld, Yarrow; two brothers, Daniel Goertz, Yarrow and Nick Goertz, Dallas, Oregon.

Rev. Peter Loewen assisted by Rev. Jacob Penner officiated at Elizabeth’s funeral.

Pallbearers were H. Neufeld, Rolly Neufeld, Ray Neufeld, Elmer Goertz, Henry Nickel and Jacob Nickel.

Interment was at Yarrow Cemetery.
