Robert Bernard Galley
Bob Galley passed away peacefully at home on December 9th, 2004 at the age of 55 years.
Bob was born November 5, 1949 to Frank & Gladys Galley in Chilliwack, B.C. He grew up in the Chilliwack area, but has resided in Yarrow for the better part of the last 40 years.
He attended Yarrow school. In his earlier years he could often be found at the ball park or soccer field as both a player and a spectator.
He married Karon Schellenberg, the daughter of William & Mary Schellenberg Jr. December 1, 1973 at the Alliance Tabernacle in Yarrow.
Bob worked on the Canadian Forces Base in Vedder Crossing for 20 years until it closed at which time her went to work driving school bus for the Agassiz School District.
It was here that Bob found his new passion in golf and spent many afternoons with his pals from work trying to master it.
Bob will be sadly missed by Karon, his loving wife of 31 years, his son Jeff (Angela), daughter Jaime, and two granddaughters Jordy and Kennedy. He is also survived by his
sister Elaine Gelineau, his brother Brian Galley, mother-in-law Mary Schellenberg, brother-in-law Alan Schellenberg, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, December 18th, 2004 at the Yarrow Alliance Church, 42479 Yarrow Central Road with Pastor Scott Fortnum officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
