
Susanna Friesen
Susanna Friesen, late of the Tabor Home, Clearbrook B.C. and formerly of Justice Manitoba and then Yarrow, B.C. died on February 23, 1972 at the MSA Hospital in Abbotsford.
She was born in the Sagradowka in the southern Russia Mennonite settlement on February 15, 1888. At the age of 18, she received Christ as her personal Saviour and on July 5, 1911, she was baptized upon her confession of faith by Rev. Peter Bergen and received into the membership of the Mennonite Brethren Church.
She was married to Peter J. Friesen on October 12, 1912. Peter predeceased her in 1958, an infant daughter passed away at the age of 1 year.
Mrs. Friesen is survived by two sons: Jacob and family of Calgary and Peter and family of Yarrow; and a daughter, Susan (Peter) Neufeld, Chilliwack B.C;
14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters: Mrs. Mary Teichrob, Clearbrook; and Mrs. Katherine Loewen of Winnipeg.

John Klassen, Herman Lenzmann and Arthur Friesen ministered at the funeral at the Yarrow M.B. Church on February 28, 1972.
Pallbearers were Henry Friesen, Arthur Friesen, Peter Friesen, Alvin Neufeld, Wayne Marsden and Jack Unruh.
Burial was at Yarrow Cemetery.
Peter Jacob Friesen
1889 - 1959
Funeral services for Peter Jacob Friesen were held at the Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church who passed away on May 19, 1959 on his 70th birthday.
He was born May 19th 1889 in South Russia. He was a retired farmed who lived a 1040 Church Avenue in Yarrow for 13 years. He married the former Susanna Unruh in Russia in 1912.

Besides his wife, survivors included two sons: Jacob Friesen, Buck Lake, Alberta; and Peter Friesen, Dyke Road, Yarrow, B.C.; on daughter: Susan (Peter) Neufeld, Portage Ave. Chilliwack, B.C.; 13 grandchildren, one brother Jacob Friesen, Vancouver and two sisters in Russia.
Rev. H. Lenzmann conducted the service, assisted by Rev. Rudy Janzen.
Pallbearers were: H. Enns, H. Penner, D. Quapp, N. Boschman, J. Martens and J. Unger.
Burial was at Yarrow Cemetery.
