FALK, Herman Hermann.

Herman Hermann Falk of 43236 Lumsden Rd., Sardis died March 20, 1981 at Chilliwack General Hospital. Funeral was held March 24, 1981 in the chapel of Henderson's Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Smuland of Yarrow alliance Church officiating. Burial was at Yarrow Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jim Brown, Ron Pilat, Jim Tutt, John Guenther and Paul Werks.

Mr. Falk was born November 4, 1916 at Urkadok, Russia and had lived in Chilliwack for 40 years. He was a custodian for the Chilliwack School district at the Yarrow Elementary School on Central Road and in 1953 he was engaged as second janitor at the Yarrow Elementary-Junior High School. He was a member of the Chilliwack Golden K. Kiwanis club. He enjoyed gardening, repairing things and was avid sports fan. He was a foster parent for 32 years and raised 52 foster children over the years. He enjoyed travelling with his family.

He is survived by his wife Katie; two daughter Shirley (Mrs. Al.) Jackson of Sardis and Irene (Mrs. Mike) Champ of Kamloops; son, Henry of Yarrow; five grandsons; one granddaughter, two sisters: Mary Reimer of Yarrow and Annie Sargent of White Rock; and his brother, Ben Falk of Niagara On The Lake, Ont.
