Cornelius J. Enns

1892 – 1978

A former Yarrow resident Cornelius J. Enns died January 3, 1978 at the Menno Hospital in Abbotsford.

Mr. Enns was born in Russia on July 29, 1892. A retired farmer, he lived in Yarrow prior to the move to 32945 Marshall Road in Abbotsford.

He is survived by his wife Maria Enns; five daughters Anne (John) Friesen of Yarrow; Susan (Henry) Rempel of Vancouver; Mary (Abe) Klassen of Richmond; Agatha (Henry) Ratzlaff of Clearbrook; and Kathy (Len) Unruh of Blaine Washington USA; 22 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Anne Reimer of Ontario.

Funeral services were held January 6, 1978 at Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church. Pastor Abe Klassen, Rev. P.D. Loewen and Rev. Peter Unger officiated.

Pallbearers at the service wer John Friesen, Len Unruh, Jim Klassen, Abe Klassen, Hank Ratzlaff and Tyler Ratzlaff.

Burial followed at Yarrow Cemetery.
