DERKSEN, Katharina Tina

Mrs. Tina Katharina Derksen (1894-1966)
Rev. H. Warkentin, Rev. D. Friesen and Rev. P. Loewen will officiate at the funeral service at 2:00 pm Thursday February 24, 1966 in the Mennonite Brethren Church, Broadway Street, for Mrs. Tina Katharina Derksen who died at home on Monday (Feb 21).

Interment will be in the IOOF Cemetery, and pallbearers will be Harold Derksen, Ed Janzen, Pete Schellenberg, Pete Regier, George Schellenberg and John Regier.

Mrs. Derksen was born in Wernersdorf, Molotschna, South Russia, Sept. 30, 1894 to Heinrich & Anna Regier; she came to Canada in 1925 had spent 34 years in Yarrow and Chilliwack British Columbia. Her home was at 610 Fraser St., Chilliwack.

She is survived by her husband, John, four daughters, Mrs. W.D. (Kay) Rempel, Vancouver; Miss Margaret Derksen, Vancouver; Mrs. D. (Elizabeth) Kornelsen, Winnipeg; and Mrs. A (Frieda) Koehn, Vancouver; five sons, Jake, Clearbrook; John Abbotsford; George, Chilliwack; Peter, Black Creek; and Henry in Vancouver; 23 grandchildren, a brother John Regier, Vancouver Island, and a sister, Mrs. D. Schellenberg.

Garden Chapel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
