BRUCKS, Elsie

ELSIE BRUCKS Elsie went to be with her Lord on March 27, 2012 at Meadowood Manor in Winnipeg.

Elsie, age 89, was formerly of Kelowna B.C., and Hillsboro, Kansas, among many other places.

Elsie is survived by her children, Florence and husband Lonnie Neufeld of Southfield, Michigan, Naomi Mitchell of Spokane, Washington, Paul and wife Nancy Brucks of Wichita, Kansas, and Joanne and husband David Schmidt of Winnipeg. As well, Elsie is survived by thirteen grandchildren, seven great-granddaughters, five brothers and one sister.

She was predeceased by her husband Henry Brucks in 1987.

Elsie's life was characterized as a life of service. She deeply loved the Lord and she loved to serve, Elsie and Henry served as missionaries in the Belgian Congo and in church work in North America for all of their married life. She is remembered by her family as a woman of prayer.

Funeral service will be held at the Portage Avenue Church, 1420 Portage Avenue on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:30 a.m., preceded by interment in Brookside Cemetery. Memories Service will be held at Friends Funeral Service chapel, 2146 Main Street on Sunday, April 1 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a time of sharing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Family Life Network, 225 Riverton Ave, R2L 0N1.
