BERGMANN, Anna

Anna Bergmann

1905 – 1979

Anna Bergmann 45714 Maple Avenue, Sardis died August 12th 1979 at Chilliwack General Hospital.

Mrs. Bergmann was born January 26, 1905 in Alexandria Russia. She worked as a housewife and lived in the Chilliwack area for 49 years. She was a member of the Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church.

Anna Bergmann was survived by her husband Paul; four sons: Jack of Campbell River, Ernie of New Westminster; Arnold of Quesnel; and Don of Langley; seven daughters: Mary (Mrs. A.) Friesen of Surrey; Kay (Mrs. W.) Stobbe of Vancouver; Anne (Mrs. W.) Dahl of Grand Forks; Susan (Mrs. P.) Niessen of Burnaby; Lynne (Mrs. B) Cummins of Surrey; Esther (Mrs. B.) White of Calgary and Elsie (Mrs. J) Giesbrecht of Yarrow; 34 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; two brothers Henry Friesen of Winnipeg and Abram Friesen of Vancouver.

Pallbearers were Abe Friesen, Bob Cummins, Peter Niessen, Walter Stobbe and Barry White.

Funeral service was held August 15th 1979 in the chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, Chilliwack, B.C. with Rev. A.L. Klassen and Rev. Herman Lenzmann officiating.

Burial was at the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Chilliwack B.C.
