Peter Wilhelm Janzen
1887 – 1967
Rev. Hugo Janz, Rev. Rudy Janzen and John Peters officiated at the funeral service for Peter Wilhelm Janzen who died October 18, 1967 in Chilliwack General Hospital.
Mr. Janzen was born in Russia on July 17, 1887. He was a retired farmer and had lived in the Yarrow area for 21 years.
He is surived by his wife Helena of Eckert Road Yarrow; three sons: Wilhelm of Edmonton, Alta; Johann of Mission, B.C. and Jacob of Greendale; five daughters: Mrs. Jake (Susanna) Duerksen, Greendale; Mrs. David (Eva) Loewen, Yarrow, B.C.; Mrs. Basil (Margaret) Thompson, Vancouver; Mrs. Montie (Sara) Hinkel, Quesnel; and Mrs. Rudolph (Maria) Voth, Burnaby; 21 grandchildren and one sister in Russia.
Pallbearers were Walter Loewen, Rufus Loewen, Aron Loewen, Harry Loewen, Ken Janzen and Lorne Janzen.
Interment was in Greendale Cemetery.
Helena Janzen
1898 – 1985
Helena Janzen of Abbotsford died June 25, 1985 at Menno Hospital. Funeral services were held June 29, 1985 from Yarrow MB Church with Pastor Abe Klassen and Rev. David J. Nickle officiating. She was 87 years old.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law Wilhelm & Wilma of Tofield, Alta., Johann & Anne of Mission, B.C.; Jacob and family of Vancouver, B.C., five daughters and sons-in-law: Eva & David Loewen of Yarrow, B.C.; Susanna & Jake Duerksen of West Bank, B.C.; Margaret Thompson of Port Coquitlam, Sara Penner of Clearbrook, Mary and Rudy of Abbotsford; 25 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Rufus Loewen, Lorne Janzen, Ken Janzen, Jamey Janzen, Stanley Duerksen, Don Hinkel and Richard Thompson.
Interment was at Greendale Cemetery.
Burial was at the Greendale Cemetery.
